Drama

                                                        drama: drama 1drama: drama 2drama: drama 3

Drama and movement ensures your child is able to build confidence and develop skills to present themselves to the world; drama is one of the key elements to help achieve this ultimate goal. The class teaches have commented on the positive effect of this creative space for the children.

It is important to keep the energy of drama skills alive when it comes to building your child's confidence, attitude, presence and much more. Miss Barclay has been working with the Foundation Phase alongside the themes explored in the classroom. We have created  poems about insects, birds, transport etc, movement sequences exploring all the different types of weather and  many stories have been brought to life like Rumplestilskin , Three Little Pigs and had the most fun acting out ‘Room on the Broom' by Julia Donaldson .

I see the future of drama at Grove as not only sharing of work amongst the Arts & Culture department but across the curriculum, with collaboration between grades, in many areas of learning. I am happy to say this is happening in a big way.
