Our Grade three's have adjusted quickly and enjoyed all aspects of Grade 3. They have matured during the five months and have acquired many new life skills.
We have covered various themes and we have focused on Farming, Insects and Reptiles during the second term.
Outings: We visited the MTN Science Centre this term and had an amazing experience. The children had so much fun and were reluctant to leave.
Readathon was a wonderful success as we had many eager-beaver readers. To end off the readathon with a bang we had our annual pyjama day. All learners (and teachers) were dressed in their pyjamas and read along with their parents. Hot chocolate and cookies were served. It was a delightful morning.
Our sports day was a fun filled day and all our learners participated in flat and fun races.
Next term we are covering different themes. We are doing The Sea, Our School and Our Heritage. We will be visiting the Two Oceans Aquarium in the third week of next term and hope to visit Pick and Pay later in the term. The learners will have the opportunity to purchase healthy snacks with a stipulated amount of money.
Our learners have experienced a fun filled and an enriching first half in Grade three and will prepare them to continue their journey into the new phase.
